Do's and Don'ts

We are a laid-back and groovy bunch of people, but to help ensure you don't waste your time (or ours), here are a few short pointers:

DON'T send us your play or manuscript - radio has very little opportunity for new drama, and even less for unknown writers. We have a track record of producing docu-dramas, scifi dramas and big theatrical transfers. HOWEVER, BBC Radio 4 have dropped the Friday Play and we are no longer allowed to pitch for the Afternoon Play slot. We will occassionally pitch for the Classic Serial, Radio 3 Drama or other slots, but there really is no longer any point in you contacting us regarding drama - we are very sorry about this, but the BBC has changed and we no longer have access to the opportunities we used to have.

DON'T send us your showreel - first off we don't have the room to store them, and secondly it is very rare that we need new voices. We do not do advertising and so standard voice-overs are not something we often look for. However, if you are an actor, presenter, producer or writer and would like to speak to us about developing an idea please email us first.

DO get in touch if you have an idea for a radio or audio production. We don't know everything and we can't be everywhere, and we rely on YOU to come to US with the eureka moments.

DON'T send us failed TV or FILM proposals - we don't work in those media and while we very much hope to move into other platforms over time, right now we know what we know, and that is audio and radio.

DO look at what we do and think about whether we are the right people for you to contact. We DO NOT producer commercials, station imaging, TV, film, games or other multimedia. We are a RADIO docs, features, readings and audiobook production company. Please don't waste your time if these are not areas you are interested in. We WILL NOT respond to anyone who mistakes us for something else!

DO NOT ask us for work placements/internships. We work from home offices and do not have the capability to host work experience or intern individuals. We may occassionally seek someone to help on a large project. Please keep an eye on the front page of the website and our social networking accounts for news on these opportunities.

DO consider offering to meet us over a pint. This is always a nice way to begin a working relationship/
